When I’m not traveling i like to hang out at the In-Between - It’s a good place to play pool, hold conversations and enjoy an occasional drag show or male dancers, you can find more middle-age people here. The Rainbow Cactus is a great place to dance, the club’s divided into two sides - pop/techno/hiphop on one side and country on the other side. They have great drag shows Fri/Sun and the crowd is usually mixed 1/3 gay, 1/3 lesbian, 1/3 straight but Sat is usually lesbian night, the ages here are 20’s-40’s, no cameras allowed in this club. The Klub Ambush has drag shows and male dancers and usually has a young crowd there, on Tues the the avg ages are 18-22 on other nights 20’s - 30’s, tends to be occasional fights there, no purses or bags allowed in this club.

As some one from out of town this bar was not only warm and welcoming but challenging. The have a butch exterior but once that was over come the soft and supple underside that lay with in was exposed. The couple that owns it are not only cute but very friendly and if your not afraid to talk they are not afraid to listen. If your here for the first time this would be the bar to visit for the first time. Take it from a Yankee…

I RECENTLY WENT TO A NEW BAR AND SAW A GREAT SHOW AND GREAT FOOD ITS CALL CLUB MIXERS. SUNDAY DRAG SHOW AT IS BEST, THE LADY OFF THE HOUR THE LATIN BARBI DOLL VERY BEAUTIFUL AND VERY PROFESSIONAL WITH THE AUDIENCE. I WENT THERE WITH MY WIFE AND FRIENDS AND WE HAD THE BEST TIME OFF OUR LIVES.
THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT THE DRINKS WAS IN EXPENSIVE, AND THE BARBI JUICE SHOTS ARE TO BE HAD.

THIS PLACE IS A MUST GO
ITS LOCATION IS ON HAMPTON BLVD AND 37TH STREET IN NORFOLK.
TELL BARBIE TODD TOLD YOU TO GO.
WE GO THERE EVERY 3 WEEKS
NEVER THE SAME BORING SHOWS ALWAYS ENTERTAINMENT.

I won’t be returning to the cactus. On friday night my bf and I decided to step outside for a bit because it was so incredibly hot in there, 5 minutes tops. We had our hand stamped on exit and when leaving were asked by the security if we were leaving, of course we answered no and stood maybe 10 feet away from the guard that asked. When we tried to re-enter we were told we had to stand in live because they were at capacity. When I requested being let in to close my tab I was told no. When I asked when the policy started I was told it was always like that, a lie. They get no more of my money.

I spent about 2 years in Norfolk and I will say the bst club in that area is the IN Between… I loved the people there.. the owners are the nicest people and they have the best shows. I would say they are the best… hugs and kisses from Italia.
