How to DJ
Learning how to dj is one of the most difficult and rewarding things you can do. Its also one of the hardest things to find information on. With most of our other endevours you can look it up on the internet, but finding a good site on how to dj is illusive. Fortunatly there are several avenues of approach. Use other DJ’s:The first and reportedly best method is to find a mate that already knows how to dj. This is an obvious but not always available avenue for us. Your friends may not be particularly good teachers or may not even know how they do what they are doing. They’ll describe it in vague and particulary od terms. Once you start understanding the mechanics of djing they will make sense but until then your lost. Even if you friend’s are not good instructors you will need their help though. Having an experienced ear to listen to your mixes is vital. Many times ( as in my case ) you won’t be able to hear the problems with your “mix” and think your banging until someone points them out to you.
